Overview (Story)
Dinner night with the Heroes Party.

As the first part of the First-Class Mage Exam is over, Fern is mad and unapproachable because Stark overslept last night. Frieren decided to stop by and to eat at a popular restaurant, in which it was the same place where Himmel and his party had went since from the past. It seems that not only Frieren, Fern, and Stark are on that restaurant, but some people who passed the First-Class Mage Exam are there.

Review
Review time! So then, let’s proceed on what I had observed.

Basically, I can tell that this Episode is somehow following the main plot, but then it is now on an Intermission. Why Intermission, you say? It is because the main storyline will temporarily stop first before heading on to the next one next week. But then, it has given me some glimpses on what’s gonna happen next time when Frieren and Fern are able to pass the first part of the exam.

So then, Fern did really become angry here, and her lips are strongly closed — call it pouting! Fern can be soft-spoken and silent, but she can be as angry as a demon. Yep, a hot-headed like Fern is basically like a crybaby child, whose lollipop got stolen by a weird guy.

Stark, on the other hand, is really unaware, just like the usual “isekai” guy who is mostly seen in some other Anime shows. Stark is then having a slight character development here later on, as he is crossing paths along with Wirbel at the later part of this Episode.

Übel is then sneaky here, even after the exam. Well, she is really expected to cross the path with Frieren and others, soon. And for the others like Lawine and Kanne, I am sure that they are going to cross paths once more in order to prove who’s the best. And at the same time, more character development!

That’s right! More characters mean more character development to expect here!

Overall, this (Intermission) Episode does really impress me. So then, let’s see what’s gonna happen next time.

There are many possible frames and scenes that I wanted to document as a screenshot. But I don’t want to detail all of them in this review. The best part is to watch them by yourself.

My Rating: AVERAGE (3.3/5)

Review Rating Summary and Breakdown

Story: (4/5) – Although nothing significant has happened here in this Episode, it is all by means of entertainment. Yep, the pouting Fern, the careless Stark, and the begging Frieren who wanted Stark to be the adult who could lecture Fern. Then the rest shall be only the foreshadowing on what’s gonna happen next time.
Animation: (4/5) – No action, but just talking and recalling. Stark and Fern gained some slight character developments here.
Insights: (2/5) – I didn’t manage to get some good insight here. Except with the scene with Übel. It’s not about copying somebody’s abilities in order to get stronger. But then, without understanding the purpose or the principle of that ability that you had copied, then it will just be like trash.
