Counterattack

This blog post may contain minimal spoilers. Please read them only if you had seen this Episode.

OVERVIEW (STORY)

A fighting game, called the Fighter’s Kingdom, is played by the people who always wanted to show and proof that they are the strongest gamers around Japan. One time, these mysterious Digimon brothers are beginning to attack the players by a one-hit K.O., and they store them into a sake bottle (called the Beni-Hisago) by stealing their bodies, and liquefying them into data. This happens when the players have successfully reached their 20-0 winning streak in the game!

In order to find and fight the Digimon Ogre Brothers, named Kinkakumon and Ginkakumon, they must play that fighting game, and achieve the 20-0 winning streak. And Kiyoshiro is the only legal player who can achieve that winning streak!

REVIEW

The Episode title is “The Game of Death”, while for my Episode Review title, it is called as “Counterattack”. Let’s review it right away!

So then, we can able to see some character development here. And this time, it shall be on Kiyoshiro and Jellymon.

Besides being a jerk and a coward, when it comes to scary ghost-busting missions, Kiyoshiro is noted for being expert in playing video games. And of course, it was well shown from Episode 5 where Jellymon reveals everything about him.

So then, I truly understand what it means to have a Digivolution, during when the times of trouble arises. Digimons and Humans are sharing a common emotion or feelings. And that is what you call, Bonds!

And also, in this Episode, I have learned that being a video game addict can sometimes tend me to play for more than the intended hours. It usually happens when you are getting a repeated defeats in your game (or a PvP match). How about this situation? In Philippines, some players (usually in groups) are continuing to play for more during afternoon, or even until at the late evening (At the dawn of the morning). Basically, they shall yell for a more game, something like in these following Filipino languages below (Use Google Translator to translate them):

"Tara, last game"

"Isa pa ulit!"

"Last na talaga ito! Pramis!"

And then, after playing their “last game”, the players beg for another, one more match! The most common phrase used is the “Last game”, where they need to do one more game, but if either of the sides are defeated, they beg for more game! My goodness! This is why some players in the Philippines are more addicted when it comes in playing for several hours until dawn!

Sometimes, we have to clear our minds in order to win some matches properly. And basically, after a hundred defeats in your game, you can eventually get your very first single victory. And after that, you should stop playing for a while. Addiction in video games may occur once you are begging for more victories in order to get your MMR (matchmaking rank) Points back, or even wanting to get your victory back from the person who has defeated you. A game is no longer fun to play with, if you are just thinking more about yourself, and your only objective is to win and outrun any other players who are stronger or weaker than you.

And what I have learned from this Episode is that you should think first before you act and attack your enemy with your brute force! Sometimes, defending yourself first is the best option if you are saving your special attack at a right time. Just let your opponent throw everything he or she got to you. And once he or she has used up all of the energy, then that’s the time that you can do your own counteroffensive attacks!

In my final review note, always take advantage of your enemies’ strengths and weaknesses! In fact, they are your keys to victory! And to rate this Episode, it can have a 4 out of 5, for me! It can be boring from the start. But as the progression begins, it becomes more interesting to watch! Just watch out for some important plots, since though that some don’t have continuity, it has somehow got a connection with an another Episode that makes you ask yourself some questions.

DIGIMON INTRO CORNER

In this corner, we shall be introducing a Digimon, who is one of the known Gold and Silver Ogre Brothers!

Kinkakumon, an ogre Digimon who is having a spirit of a legendary gladiator!

Name: Kinkakumon (キンカクモン)
Type: Ogre
Level: Champion
Attribute: Virus
Special Attack: Kibakusou

Info: https://digimon.fandom.com/wiki/Kinkakumon

She carries a weapon, called the Shichisei Kanabou (Seven-Star Golden Rod), in which she can also use it to attack her opponents! With that weapon, she can able to use the special attack, called the Kibakusou!

Has a heart of a gladiator, but eventually, she is weak when it comes to love! Basically, if you are going to attack with some full brute force, make sure to think it very well! Since unleashing it on a wrong timing will just make yourself be jeopardized, and you will be ended up losing when you are very close to winning a battle! There are always times that we must think first before we make our attacks against our enemies and rivals!
