Overview (Story)
“Tearful farewells don’t suit us very well, and would be embarrassing when we meet again.”

Serie has passed some few applicants, which would include Fern, and others like the Imperial Mage Denken. And so, they were granted a license, where they were able to continue their journey going to the far north.

Review
Review time! And it’s the last Episode to review, isn’t it? But the story still continues!

Serie is also an elf, just like Frieren, and she projects some expressions just like Frieren do. Yup, and you know that funny face expression in some frames, don’t you?

Denken got an explainable backstory on why did he want to take the First-Class Mage Exam. Others like Wirbel just do a simple chit-chat, and they passed. And Übel didn’t really do anything here, and Serie just told her, “You passed”, as if nothing happened.

Finally, Stark joins in, after a few Episodes where he’s absent completely. Yep, just the usual things, especially when Fern is around.

Just more convos and stuff — The reason that it becomes boring at a later part.

But then, since it’s the end, their journeys will still continue. And then, saying goodbye doesn’t really mean it’s over. Of course, like that one said, “it would be embarrassing when we meet again somewhere at an unexpected time and place”. And as usual, we have to move on from things.

Yep, something that I have learned when I had watched this Episode for the fun.

Overall, this Episode is kind of mixed reactions. Whether I could even like it for the ending, or I hate it because only Fern has passed the test. And the entire story or plot is bit shortening for this Episode. Hoping that there’s more in the future to see what’s the outcome of Frieren’s long journey beyond from the end.

My Rating: AVERAGE (3.7/5)

Review Rating Summary and Breakdown

Story: (4/5) – Story is good or bad. Whether I hate it because it’s bit shortening, or like it because of the outcome, both are just good, for me.
Animation: (3/5) – Animation is dark in some parts, especially nighttime.
Insights: (4/5) – “A tearful goodbyes don’t really suit us.” It really means we have to let go of something that doesn’t really be with us any longer. We are all humans, and we all die and pass away. But then, our memories and words would always remain, though that they were never be physically present. We should learn that all things in this world would pass away. There may be someone who could replace us, but then, they are already inheriting our own legacies.
