Review

An Episode Review with a surprise! Will it surpass my expectations? Let’s find out!

Will this series heading into a climax, finally? Or is it just the prologue before the actual endgame Digimon appears?

Dagomon is a Digimon which is only of Ultimate Level, but is looking powerful when it’s huge, just like Quartzmon. Making me wonder that it is just like a tail of a lizard, before the actual “endgame” Digimon villain. Siriusmon goes “serious mode” here. And Espimon did some “black comedy” jokes here, especially after Digivolution. Returning Digimons here, like Gumdramon and Upamon, are spotted and made cameo.

Really intense in this part, since in the previous Episode, it shows that Digimons are already populating the Human World, as said by someone who tells that it is according to the one who has predicted that Digimons will be transported to the Human World, from the Digital World. And it is quite surprising, or otherwise, it’s having a twist. Can’t detail it more since the last one here is what made Digimons, like Jellymon, cry.

Also, I had noticed that the intro opening (after the opening animation credits) was finally left out, and they jumped into the main Episode proper immediately.

So then, for every movies or TV series that I am watching, there is always on what we call the “apocalypse” day, where things, whether living or not, are put into an end (through a zombie apocalypse or equivalent). But this one, it was represented in a form of “fog of war”, where we can’t see something ahead of us. And at the middle of the fog, something will eventually come and get us. And then, it has reminded me of an RPG game, where people will become zombie-like or monster beings when touched by that fog or gas.

I don’t know if I have something to learn from this Episode. It’s just that end-of-the-world stuff. But then, I can really figure out what’s next, since the next Episode is really just connecting to this one, and I can tell that it is already ended in a semi-cliffhanger.

My Rating: GOOD (4/5)
