So this time, it could be about Anime and Otaku things. But then, Internet and social media can be your gateway to these.

If we have something like social media accounts, whether real or dummy, today, we can have something like a community or group. It’s a social media group! That’s right! Social media groups are something like you can know about news and rumours, as well as posting something like “secrets” from other people.

Social media groups are used for interaction — for people who got the same or mutual interests! In fact, this can be anything, ranging from general groups, up to your usual Anime groups — where I am currently joined in!

Social media groups can be anything. It can be in a form of marketplace group, where you shall be buying and selling some stuff in that group. Or even it is a group where you could post and exchange some information! Fun, isn’t it? In fact, this is where I could get some news and rumors, where it is not usually posted in some news websites or other news outlets! But then, I just need to be careful about fake news, though.

These groups can sometimes be used to stalk someone else, if you know it! Such as revealing some scandalous acts made by that person, they were usually posted onto that group, so that he or she can’t even see it.

Sometimes, being in a group can allow you to get various information. But then, just be careful on what you wish for. Since if you are acting as a spy, they might notice you, and they gonna kick you out for no reason, even if you don’t do anything.

And then, there are many social media groups around. Sometimes, if you are looking for a certain series or topic, your search query might be returning a lot of results, thus it can always give you some disambiguating results! You just noticed that there is Anime Community. But then, when you find them, there are thousands of them! Yep, and they can be divided according to country, series, genre, etc. Example is something like “INSERT TITLE HERE” Philippine Community. Yep, something like that.

As there are lots of social media groups out there, some of them are considered as “toxic”, or even acting as a “gate keeping” group. Sometimes, there are some issues and controversies that would eventually escalate by just a simple violation or mistake. Or even those “admins” and “mods” do even abuse those powers just in order to abuse their members!

If there are social media groups which can be friendly and peaceful, there are some which are noisy, and… toxic at the same time. And did you know that I had joined a simple, big social media group about Anime before? That has lasted for at least a month. And when I opened my account to browse my feed, I ain’t seeing those posts in that group anymore. So then, i just found out that I got kicked out (and blocked) from that group.

Well, getting kicked out from that group without any valid reason for violation is just annoying. It is either they hate you, or even they are gate keeping you literally because my standards are below than theirs. And did you know that the other way on why did they kick you out from the group? It is because they posted a comment count on “Who’s active here?” If you didn’t comment on that post, saying that you are still active, on time, then you are out from the group in a flash. Strict and annoying, isn’t it? Call it toxicity, man.

I am just really sad that I can be silent sometimes. But then, being in a social media group, whether public or private, can allow me to introduce myself more to others. But then, sometimes, they can really laugh at me, because my standards and knowledge is just below than theirs. Okay, to be fair, we are all humans here. We do have the same qualities, and we are always treating each other the same.

But then, this doesn’t end here. In fact, there are also some social media groups, where they are notoriously known for making the community as a “dating group”, where I previously know it as a “circle of friends” before.
