“The Longest Five Days of Nonstop Play”
On April 10, 2026, I was invited as a media or KOL for the event briefing of the upcoming TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026, which will be held at Makuhari Messe, in Chiba, Japan.
The said event will be spanning for five days, on September 17, until 21, 2026.
Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) will be the organizer, together with Nikkei Business Publications, Inc. and SONY Music Solutions Inc.
For year 2026, TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026 will be making its event a five-day event for the first time. And the projected and expected number of visitors who will attend will reach 300,000 people, according to the event briefing. And also, TOKYO GAME SHOW will be celebrating with its 30th Anniversary this year 2026.
The theme of TGS 2026 is “The Longest Five Days of Nonstop Play”.

Also, they have presented the prices of the booths and exhibits who wish to exhibit for TGS 2026. Booth and exhibit prices will start at 330,000 JPY to 440,000 JPY.
The event briefing program was started with opening welcome remarks from Mr. Solon Chen, and was followed finally by the guests from Japan, namely Mr. Taiyo Tanabe, Shinri Endo, and Shuya Ishijima. From there, they discussed on what are the things to expect for this year’s TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026, which will be held soon at Chiba, Japan on September 17 until 21, 2026.
At the end of the briefing, they have included also the introduction to their new event, called as GLGa 2027. It was organized by Nikkei Gaming and Nikkei Entertainment!, and was planned for late February to early of March 2027. Venue of it is to be announced.

Q: Do you provide documents for the Visa, if we like to join in this event in Japan?
A: We are providing support for providing visa-related documentations for participants and exhibitors from overseas, and also for business days visitors as well. These documentation services will be available from July 2026.
Q: Is there any way for media personnel who would like to cover TGS 2026, as well as interviews?
A: With regards to the TGS management office, we have division for PRs and advertising as well. If you could actually contact us there, make us an inquiry as a media coverage, you will be also provided with an entrance as a press for the event. You can actually interview them, the booths and exhibits there, on a negotiation basis. You can talk to the management or representatives from TGS for a request beforehand.
