Ayumu Uehara is the first member of the group, called the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, and representing the second years of the Nijigasaki High School.
Ayumu formed the school idol club along with her childhood friend, Yu Takasaki, and she was fascinated with a recent performance featuring School Idols.
Ayumu got some talents, in which she never believes that she is good at them. She requires love and nurturing in order for her to grow and excel. She can be clumsy from the start, but later on she can be better, and can become an important member who can make her fellow School Idol friends and rivals shine on the stage.

Ayumu Uehara is one of the members who could form a sub-unit, called the A・ZU・NA, along with Setsuna Yuki and Shizuku Osaka.
Ayumu can be sometimes sulky when no one notices her, nor even her childhood friend notices her. There are times that she can be demanding attention, especially when she interacts with her childhood friend, Yu Takasaki. She can be jealous when Yu is already praising some other Nijigasaki girls out of their spectacular live performances. In other words, Ayumu is a girl who wants more praise than any other girls within the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club.
