Review
Review time! It makes sense now that the Spirits are not the evil here, but Westcott.

Another break from action, where the story would take to an another past time — this time with Westcott’s past, along with the other of his allies in the DEM group. Isaac used to be a man who never cared if anyone dies, including his mother or other relatives. This is what has driven him into destroying or conquering the world through artificial world domination — creating beings called as Spirits to destroy everything.

Now, it really makes sense now that Ike/Isaac is really the enemy here, and not the Spirits who were definitely under dominance of this man from the DEM Enterprises. Makes me wonder if Shido was able to defeat him, given if he has the Spirit powers that he has acquired from the Spirits, like Tohka. Yep, and something more to expect when Isaac finally awakened his true, deadly powers.

On the other side, on my last review, I do really expect that the major Spirit characters here (Kaguya, Yuzuru, Yoshino, etc.) will be executed one-by-one by Mio. Who knows that all of them will be killed next Episode or later, and Shido will be the last one to stand against her? I am just hoping that Shido would eventually use Kurumi’s power here to wrap things up.

The first half of the Episode is more of a past-recalling, showing Ike’s actions on how the DEM was formed by just doing witchcraft experiments to dominate the world. And the second half is basically leading to the next Episode, anyway. It is really sad for fans that their favorite Spirit characters have been killed on the spot. And the ups and downs of this Episode is really average, leaving you either excited, or even frustrated.

If you had nowhere to run, you are otherwise compelled to fight. Either you fight or not, you will lose either way. Not of an insight generally, but I will write something different from this one later.

And overall, this Episode is average, yet frustrating.

My Rating: AVERAGE (3.7/5)

Review Rating Summary and Breakdown

Story: (4/5) – It makes sense now on who is really the true enemy of this series. It is basically the one who has started the chaos and world domination. Story and plot progression is good, likewise.
Animation: (4/5) – Animation is good, especially with the explosions and other gas/fog effects.
Insights: (3/5) – Sometimes, we show mercy at our enemies we had defeated. It is about showing compassion, and not further hatred and guilt. It is because only people with wicked heart can kill kind people. (Looks at Ellen and Elliot scene)
