Overview (Story)
“These stones will allow my flames to burn more beautiful!”

The rogue Salamandermon is turning any sleeping people into geckos, or otherwise a specie which is related to its own. It turns them in order to create its own minions — to loot some jewels (preferably diamonds). And then, those diamonds are brought to Salamandermon, for it to feast upon.

Hiro and others are beginning to investigate this incident, where people have turned into geckos. And now, they have clues in finding that rogue Digimon, thanks to Ruli in becoming a gecko in order to trace Salamandermon’s trail.

Angoramon’s Quotes

“Clear your mind of thoughts, and even fire will feel cool.”

Review

Scary and creepy! Let’s have a review and impression!

Well, this Episode is somehow giving me a post-apocalyptic theme, where humans themselves are turning into other beings like zombies. This is where not only Digimons are the involved here, but the Humans who made that Digimon be influenced shall be the factors here. And then, it is really possible that Digimons can able to manipulate Human environment, just as the same as Humans do with the Digimons.

For the characters, like Nanami, they weren’t given enough time to be introduced as guest character, where she used to be in a random picture as Hiro. And she didn’t have any sort of meeting in Human form, just before she got infected with Salamandermon.

Story. My Episode Review title is “Hunters in the Night” because it just resembles the “Human Geckos” as “hunters” or “thieves”, and they were always active in the nighttime. It seems that the plot is predictable as I kept replaying some scenes there. And it is quite strange on why the group of Hiro, Ruli, and Kiyoshiro have stayed together in one home. Maybe because when after they have seen some reports or incidents of the missing and stolen diamonds, they have all decided to stay in that house as a group. And then, I do really understand that one there really acted as a “bait” in order to catch that Digimon. Good strategy… In scanning the details properly, me! And then, I really expected that Kiyoshiro’s plan have worked here, since he can be a strategist. But then, I was wrong, though! Instead, Jellymon has finally turned the tables around to make up for Kiyoshiro’s failed strategy!

I don’t know on what to learn from this Episode, but it is really twisted for me to understand — as twisted as a creepy gecko face with its tongue sticking out! If you got some strategy that you have planned, make sure that it is really working. Since screwing up at the last minutes can eventually jeopardize your plans, and make sure that you should have a backup plan for that! And thieves and spies can always sneak at anytime. But then, if you slipped out just even one piece or a drop of a sweat, then call it a “Mission Failure”. That’s it.

And based from Angoramon’s quote, we can be always angry and our fires keep burning. But if we try to calm our thoughts and minds, it can eventually cool and settle down. It is a matter of fact that we should always “meditate” if we are already feeling pains inside us.
