LoveLive! Fans Returned and United for Aqours Documentary Screening

The documentary film was previously premiered in Japan theaters since September 2025

ODEX Private Limited announced Aqours Documentary, a documentary behind-the-scenes feature film of the one of the LoveLive! Series‘ group, Aqours. The film was announced days when the LoveLive! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club The Movie: Finale Chapter 2 was still screening in selected SM Cinemas Luzon-wide in the Philippines.

Aqours Documentary was previously premiered in Japan cinemas last September 26, 2025, which will feature the nine (9) actresses from the group Aqours, a fictional School Idol group from the popular TV Anime series, “LoveLive! Sunshine!!” in year 2016, since their debut. Released by Bandai Namco Filmworks, Aqours Documentary will feature exclusive behind-the-scenes of their live performances and other activities — something at their side in which it will depict their real-life friendships, struggles, and experiences during their 10-year journey as School Idols in the popular long-running LoveLive! Series (also from the LoveLive! Sunshine!! Anime as voice actresses who voiced behind these characters).

This documentary film was picked and licensed by ODEX Private Limited for South-East Asia, which will include Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

In the Philippines, this film was screened at SM Mall of Asia Cinemas last January 31, 2026, occupying at least 4 cinema rooms.

Many LoveLive! fans have gathered and witnessed this screening event. With less than an hour before it was premiered, the freebie items, the two limited Japan-imported bromides and a commemorative ticket merch by ODEX were finally given out to the attendees. And then, people who received these random merch have finally traded with one another.

There are also people who have brought their “Aqours merch” before the screening event has started, and there are also who have donned and cosplayed as characters from the LoveLive! Sunshine!! Anime.

At the end of the screening, people had done the “Aqours Rainbow”, in which it can be done by waving their colored penlights, respective to their seat rows. Fans have also written a “thank you” message for Aqours, before and after the screening event.

Aqours Documentary will be screening at selected SM Cinemas in the Philippines starting on February 4, 2026 until end date.
