Review
Another continuation from the previous Episode that has a slow plot progression… All over again! And this time, it’s Aqua’s turn to outshine other characters in the stage, especially when it comes to Tokyo Blade stage play! And so, Kana Arima did a great job here — But unfortunately, as an experienced actress herself, she lost to Akane Kurokawa when it comes to the spotlight. So then, the debate on who’s the best gal/waifu should still continue here.
And in the mid-part, Ruby Hoshino did really get a short screentime here — Basically hinting me already on the next future Episodes. And so, I can’t wait to see the other characters, like MEM-cho, to be in action soon in the future — Hope so!
And so, Aqua finally talks with Himekawa, revealing some revelations that are complex and full of mysteries and questions. Will he be able to get some answers for his questions?
My thought in this Episode is that they used something that excites the fans of this series, especially to those who are avid fans of Ai Hoshino. And to get some screentime, though she’s dead already, Ai did really came down as a spirit, somehow controlling also Akane’s emotional acting. So then, was it really my imagination that Akane is somehow acting like a vessel where Ai Hoshino is coming there at anytime (Noted for the starry eyes)? It’s just an opinion or thoughts of mine, though. And to summarize everything, Ai is to Akane, and Goro is to Aqua. That’s how.
For my other insights, it’s good enough. But not if I ain’t paying attention properly, especially with the part where Aqua is already unleashing his hatred, vengeance, and other frustrations. You can read more in the insights part at the end of this review.
Overall, this Episode is just average. The story plot seemed to be slow again, but then, it is really bit fast when it finally reaches the end. Wondering what’s gonna happen next when Aqua is finally hunting some answers for his questions. And as usual, I won’t be easily get intimidated with the Manga source spoilers, since majority of the story is usually happening there. And for the overall quality of this Episode… Like I have said, it’s average. Read the breakdown for more!
My Rating: AVERAGE (3.7/5)
Review Rating Summary and Breakdown
Story: (3/5) – Story plot can be slow from the start. But, as it ends, it goes really fast until cliffhanger. Overall, good enough, especially when the imaginary dream with Ai is really happening during Aqua’s emotional acting in the stage play.
Animation: (4/5) – Good! Especially with those moving stages again, this time they have shown on how these actually work.
Insights: (4/5) – For the insights, I think I am familiar with this so-called “daydreaming” when we are trying to deal with our emotions. At the time that we are in trouble, we just need to realize our past trauma and experiences. And to deal with that trauma, we just basically need to overcome it. Sometimes, our past trauma can be our weapons in order to overcome the odds and struggles that we are experiencing.
