Overview (Story)
The next part of the Tokyo Blade stage play would feature Akane and Kana, as actors, on the stage. Seeing Kana before her, Akane now stands to prove on who is the best when it comes to acting.
Review
This is where the showdown between the experienced and the veteran will happen. When it comes to acting, Kana is superior compared to Akane. Meanwhile, Akane is just being inspired on what she is seeing, and tends to do what Kana does. So then, it happened that one day she is almost on the same level as Kana, when they are already performing on the stage play.
Kana, on the other hand, is becoming more bossy and arrogant, making people to either hate or love her on this rate. I mean, her coolness is losing at some point that she is trying to prove that she is better than Akane. And Akane, despite that Kana is competing at her, is somehow not losing her sense of coolness — that’s what I really like!
There are lots of things to know more about with Kana, since the Episode is really trying to emphasize her feelings at this point (Making the plot progression to go slow again). Kana’s feelings are really deep, making me question on what was her goal in acting on the stage. To act famous, gain fans and money — those what I can see on Kana right now, making her a bossy, arrogant character now. And the thing is, she can be sulky and sad when no one understands her true feelings. Yep, Kana is definitely one of the characters, whose feelings are deep and difficult to analyze.
And for Akane, she is maintaining her coolness status while performing with Kana. She can be a no-good performer, but when inspiration strikes, she can be as on the same level as with Kana. And basically, she could really surpass Kana with that just cool-headed state. And as usual, Aqua is just around to back her up on the next Episode.
My thoughts in this Episode is that the story and plot progression is slow, just almost the same as in the previous Episode. But then, great insights can be learned here, showing what the arrogant and the humble are looking here when they were present in the stage play. And for the animation, it’s just right, and I got nothing to comment. There are more in the summary at the end of this review.
Overall, this Episode is just good to best, making it one of my high-rated Episode Review posts this time. But then, it still leaves me a question on who’s the girl am gonna decide: Kana or Akane?
My Rating: GOOD (4.3/5)
Review Rating Summary and Breakdown
Story: (4/5) – Though slow-paced, it was able to emphasize both Kana and Akane’s respective characters — the origin on how it started, and how Akane was able to encounter Kana for the first time.
Animation: (4/5) – I got nothing to comment. Consistency of the animation is just right.
Insights: (5/5) – Although you got self-esteem to prove it’s really you, it is important to maintain your self-integrity, too. Never let people make you adjust on who you are; you make them adjust to your character instead! Sometimes, the cool-headedness will always win, unlike with arrogance who is still hungry with fame and power, but always loses.
