Overview (Story)
After Abiko saw recently a stage play, she agrees to work with the script again with GOA, but for one condition. Meanwhile, Aqua is having a problem when it comes to practicing with his emotional acting in the script rehearsal.
Review
Abiko, as an author, can be hard-headed at times, and she can really ignore advices of people when she goes wrong, especially with her mentor. She can act recklessly, only to realize that the people who are helping her are really on the side where they can be correct, after all. Sometimes, we gotta take opinions of others after all — but not all of these opinions can really take us into a good direction. Just take the good ones where it can take you the best. Basically, they are just guides to step higher. And for Abiko, she just needs to add and leave some things in which they can be differing from her original source, the Manga itself. So then, it is now making sense that the author of the source media is really the director, after all.
And for the next one? Emotions. Aqua is having a character that has no emotions. That’s why he is cold-hearted seeking for a sweet vengeance. Aqua is really having a traumatic experience, especially when he witnessed the death of Ai, and that kept haunting him the moment he is really expecting it. In the end, he wasn’t able to convey his true emotions. And although Akane is just around to comfort him, it might not be as easy as that.
The flow of the Episode is on how to work things out — like Abiko working with GOA to rework with the script. And Aqua is suffering with his past trauma, preventing him to express his emotions.
Sometimes, when we can’t get a gist or reasons why we are sad, we just have to need others (maybe a close friend) to nurture and hug you. And maybe that’s the only way, because struggling yourself to just smile alone isn’t working well. And for the overalls in this Episode, it’s just right, or otherwise, average. But then, the pacing of the story flow is quite slow enough to give it enough time to emphasize the (emotional) characters — only the principal ones though.
My Rating: AVERAGE (3.7/5)
Review Rating Summary and Breakdown
Story: (3/5) – Story pacing is slow. But then, it tries to emphasize on what was really happening — like that working together to rewrite the script, and to find out Aqua’s problems with acting.
Animation: (4/5) – Good thing that Akane Kurokawa is using that Ai Hoshino starry eyes impression again. For the rest, it’s good to average.
Insights: (4/5) – We just need to take and select good opinions of people. No hard feelings intended. And overcoming trauma can be difficult, and there might be a way in order to counter it. In some instances, parents can’t really help you, but somebody who has become close to you can.
