Overview (Story)
Sometimes, your greatest enemy is yourself.

Review
Review time. Just like that one quote said!

Of course, there would be some bit of funny scenes here, especially on Frieren who is always embracing on treasures she sees. And then, the plot, in general, is bit slow, since the whole conversation has only revolved around the various parties — as if there’s not enough progression, but tolerable.

Übel, on the other hand, becomes cunning here, as she is facing her own Doppelgänger with her teammate injured. She can be unlucky at times, despite the fact that she can be skillful to handle. Well, call it that time when she can be unlucky, but an “unfortunate” lucky moment shall be coming to her at the end. Yep, and this is something that I had seen in some previous Episodes, probably with Wirbel who failed catching a Stille, but catching some at the end by accident.

Some other funny scenes here, where somebody of Denken’s party, has hugged Frieren with a purpose, and Fern’s expression go pouting again. Surely, Fern becomes jealous when somebody is doing something stupid to Frieren. But then, that’s temporary, as usual.

Other insights to spot here is the Doppelgänger that they are facing. Which it fact, it was really explained at the beginning of the Episode. Also, if you are fighting your own self, just meditate and stay still. But there are others that are aggressive, and requires you to fight it at your own will. In other words, we simply just don’t lose to our own selves.

And now, I have to wait an another week to see if their Doppelgänger-killing strategy would work out here. Especially, when former enemies should work together this time. Overall, this Episode is well-balanced and good.

My Rating: GOOD (4/5)

Review Rating Summary and Breakdown

Story: (4/5) – Plot progression is quite slow again, with many convos revolving around different characters and parties. Funny scenes just make me alive again, whenever the plot is serious enough.
Animation: (4/5) – Just right and good. Übel and Wirbel did really an impressive work in order to show off their combat skills in order to beat their Doppelgängers.
Insights: (4/5) – Sometimes, your greatest enemy is you, yourself. How to even deal with these? Either you fight or defend against it, never surrender your emotions to darkness. This is what makes the other side of you more evil, that not many of your friends seen of.
