Review

Let’s head on to the review proper!

An Anime series based from the “Kamen Rider W” sequel manga? That’s amazing! Let’s head into the Episode Review right away!

I am familiar with the characters already, namely only Shotaro, Philip, Akiko, and Ryu — Basically, they come from the original Kamen Rider Series counterpart! And then, the sequel manga actually tells the further missions and adventures of Shotaro and Philip, just after the Final Episode of the original Kamen Rider W TV Series. What is going to happen next after they had defeated their greatest threat in their private eye case (As seen in the final Episode)? In this Anime series, somehow this should be the continuity of the story, right after Shotaro and Philip said, “Now, time to count up your crimes!”

Characters. I am feeling uneasy with Shotaro’s voice here, or maybe perhaps I might be the only one who is feeling unsatisfactory on his voice. I was really expecting that the original cast would do the voice of these characters. But then, I was wrong at the last minute when I saw some promo pictures of the characters with their VAs counterpart. But then, I am quite happy when they were able to keep the quality of Philip’s voice, which is just almost the same voice as in the original TV Tokusatsu Series. And then, I can really tell that Tokime is really a sadistic witch or whatsoever, especially when she uses her tongue to wet her lips (as in the state of being hungry). And there is no need for me to worry about Akiko Narumi’s voice, since her voice is somehow similar to an another Anime character, who is a bubbly idol. And that signatured rubber slippers comedic timing, lol

Story is just quite obvious that they actually based them from the chapters in the original manga counterpart. So then, your only major spoiler here is the source manga. And then, basically, if you could read the manga without even watching the Anime, then don’t ever try to spoil your friends on what’s gonna happen in the next chapter, lol. Going back, story is just some usual “crime and detective” genre or theme of story. Basically, it is just the same format as in Kamen Rider W, but then, Fuuto PI adds up some mature content, in which it also targets the older viewers — more likely Anime and Otaku fans, and some other older fans who watched the original 2009 TV Tokusatsu Series. Now that Shotaro and Philip are back for an another investigation case, they are back and they were ready! Will it be just a Kamen Rider W series without having Shotaro and Philip need to transform using the items, called as the Gaia Memories?

I have learned that you can be boastful and you called yourself as “hard-boiled”. But then, you can be called as “half-boiled” if you are just being stupid and reckless. Sometimes, you can’t just do things by yourself, and you must need someone to help you in some things!
