This blog post may contain minimal spoilers. Please read this only if you have seen this Episode.

EPISODE OVERVIEW

A strange, yet delinquent Digimon is playing with the lives of people by means of altering the photos stored in their smartphones or other gadgets. It alters the photos by putting some writings or scribbles in it, and the scribbled body parts of some people in the photos will cause them to act strange in their bodies.

One of the victims of this incident is Ruli Tsukiyono, whose fingers are starting to dissolve away due to the scribbled fingers found on her photo. And then, the time came and Hiro messaged her about that incident which is happening to other people, including her.

Will they able to find the culprit Digimon, named Dracmon, who is hiding and floating in the vast digital space of information, and playing with the lives of people by scribbling their photos?

EPISODE REVIEW

Basically, it is an another Episode, where we could get to spot another enemy ‘Digimon of the Week’, as well as having to get to know another character who is foreshadowed at the opening animation credits of this Anime.

First, for the Episode story proper, it reminded me of some horror movie, where abnormal things usually happen by just looking at the photos. I don’t remember that movie, but there are related movies in which it involves photo manipulation, as well as taking photos at an angle. And when you are finished processing that photo without any alterations and edits, you see something abnormal. By just looking with your naked, visible eyes, you can see something in the photo, which can be either a transparent ghost of a certain person, or even seeing something like… Yep, and those are very scary to mention here! Indeed, this is something for you to research, which involves ghosts in photos!

And then, we can get to know another Digimon user, who is Ruli Tsukiyono. Firstly, before she was a Digimon user (already foreshadowed at the end of Episode 2), she was with her friends, and they share and talk about ghost stories. It’s quite a mystery on when did Ruli got her partner Digimon from the start, but in a transparent, ghost form. Secondly, she likes to play piano, and somehow she reminds me of other Anime characters who can also play piano. And finally, her character seemed to be brave and hard-nosed, but in the scene where Hiro and Gammamon are under attack, she is sometimes hesitant. We can still get to know her more, in the next succeeding Episodes to come.

For the Digimon, Angoramon, he reminds me of another Digimon in which his eyes are covered with their own hair. Not only Digimon, but it applies to some other Anime characters, whose eyes are always covered by their own hair. Usually, these type of characters, whose eyes are covered with their own thick hair, are the characters who were usually the ‘calm-type’ or the ‘cool-type’. Mentioning that, their voices are usually calm and soft, and sometimes their voices would get louder when they got angry! And those qualities would really apply to Angoramon, who is Ruli’s Digimon partner.

For the fight scene in this Episode, it’s just a chase and action! Basically, that enemy Digimon, Dracmon, is a sly, yet weak. He only attacks when he wanted to, but runs away if his opponent is strong! But then, we can know this Digimon more by reading later its info in the corner part of this Episode Review!

And at the end, we can have Ruli alongside with Hiro and Gammamon in the party! Don’t forget about Angoramon who has his body materialized and formed, thanks to Ruli for taking and equipping the Digivice watch in her arm.

Basically, there are more Digimons roaming around the Human World, while taking and playing lives of other people. But then, Hiro and Gammamon must continue their ghost-busting mission, while finding out the circulating, yet horror mysteries which involve Digimons and the Digital World, as mentioned by his father.

DIGIMON INTRO CORNER

Let’s introduce the Digimon that appeared in this Episode! His name is Dracmon! It is a Digimon who is a small, yet mischievous and sly!

Name: Dracmon (ドラクモン)
Type: Virus
Level: Rookie
Special Attack: Eye of Nightmare

Info from: https://digimon.fandom.com/wiki/Dracmon

Dracmon likes to play pranks on his opponents. His weak, yet sly moves and abilities can make his opponents have a hard time beating him!

He has a green and red eyes implanted on his left and right palms of his hands. And he can use those eyes to manipulate your heart and soul!

Dracmon is once a Digimon partner of Ren Tobari, from the previous Digimon Xros Wars (Digimon Fusion), in the Digimon Hunters arc (Season 3).

One does not simply play jokes and pranks with this Digimon, nor you trust this one with something else.

ABOUT DIGIMON SERIES (DIGITAL MONSTER)

The Digimon Series is a franchise or series created and developed by Akiyoshi Hongo in 1997, and was co-created with Toei Animation (one of the grandfathers of the known animation studios in Japan). It was actually based from the Digital Monster, a virtual pet digital game by Bandai, which was knowingly based from the popular Tamagotchi virtual pet digital game created by the same company, also.

Digimon is a shortened name for Digital Monsters (Japanese dubbed: デジタルモンスター). They are creatures in a digital form in which it can be raised by feeding items and foods, as well as battling with other Digimons (other people) in order to become strong and versatile.

This series has been developed and conceptualized since year 1997, and video games, as well as its Anime counterparts, has been spawned since year 1999, starting with the popular Digimon Adventure Anime series.
