You had already your victory. But still, you aren’t satisfied. When you wanted to prove that you are still powerful, you are still continuing to beat down your opponent, until they are dead!
In this rate, you are definitely trying to “overkill” your opponent, when he or she has lost in the battle against you, while you are still continuing to do some beatdown! But in that case, overkilling your opponent means that you had already lost control of your sanity. And then, somebody must need to save you, at least, from further losing your own sanity.
Sometimes, it is really not worth to overkill your opponent when you have won a battle. Then, you should not need to further abuse yourself with your own powers and strength, in which it can make you lose your sanity in the end.
